Joint industry letter on trialogue negotiations on the Cybersecurity Act

In view of the upcoming trialogue meetings’ negotiations, CEIR has co-signed a joint letter with other industries on the cybersecurity package setting key recommendations for a successful European cybersecurity certification framework:

• Create ad hoc consultation groups for each scheme with industry involvement in the development of certification schemes
• Do not consider mandatory schemes already at the initial phase of the development of the certifications
• Introduce the possibility for self-assessment, including declaration of conformity
• Do not introduce technical specifications or other cybersecurity requirements in a scheme, when standards or technical specifications are not available.
