CEIR calls for an ambitious EU industrial strategy

CEIR co-signed a joint declaration for an ambitious EU industrial strategy together with 91 other associations of the European manufacturing industry.

The European industry directly employs over 34 million people in supply chains comprising hundreds of thousands of SMEs and larger suppliers. An ambitious EU industrial strategy is necessary to remain a competitive global industrial power.

The 92 signatories call on the European Commission to reaffirm its commitment to reaching the target of 20% of GDP from industry. They also invite the Commission to propose an Action Plan to tackle the challenges that industrial sectors are facing as well as to implement it in a timely manner.
